Lots of ways we could look at this. We could point out that this is what happens under communism. We could use it as an example of why our own government needs to pull back from its leftist tendencies.

Alas, can't you see some Hollywood nitwit saying that it is a good thing, since most of us use too much toilet paper anyway? Or, some global climate change scientist will point out that a toilet paper shortage wouldn't happen, if there were simply fewer people in the world, therefore fewer people needing toilet paper?

Mark my words, someone out there believes this!
